Brad Hunter

Brad Hunter is a Buddhist Chaplain and meditation teacher. His 50-year meditation practice has been a parallel path to his work around death, dying & bereavement—from cemeteries and crematoria, to grief and trauma counselling and therapy, to hospice work and support groups. From 2015 through 2017, he did chaplaincy training through Upaya. Brad also taught courses in grief and trauma for a number of years in King’s University’s Thanatology program. Besides trauma, death and dying issues, a key focus of interest remains bridging between the Zen & Chan teachings and practices and those of the Pali Canon. In early summer of 2020, Brad was diagnosed with metastasized prostate cancer, but he is committed to sharing Dhamma and healing practices as long as he can.
