Bob Gillespie, PhD, began practicing meditation and yoga in 1998 to support his addiction recovery. He currently studies under Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and is an authorized meditation instructor in the Nyingma and Kagyu traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Bob has taught Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction since 2006 and currently teaches at the University of Wisconsin Hospital's Osher Center for Integrative Health. He is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher through the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness and a Trained Teacher through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. A licensed psychotherapist since 2005, Bob specializes in mindfulness-oriented and trauma-informed therapy using Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing. He has presented internationally on the clinical applications of mindfulness and likes to explore the integration of mindfulness into intimate relationships, parenting, chronic health issues, and social justice.
