Nina Herzog (she/her) is a NY-based writer and psychotherapist. She writes creative nonfiction, frequently about books in translation and art, most recently in the LA Review of Books, Tricycle, and Words without Borders. She is a certified Gestalt therapist and a graduate of the Contemplative Psychotherapy Program of the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science, where she has been on the meditation teaching faculty since 2018 and hosts their Tuesday lunchtime meditation (now virtual). In her pre-psychotherapist incarnation, she worked for several decades with homeless New Yorkers with AIDS/HIV, and actively using substances, eventually providing technical assistance, training, organizational development and grant-writing services to harm reduction, supportive housing and other organizations as a consultant.
Deepening Practice,
Building Community.
