Rachel Cronin has studied with teachers in India and North America in all three vehicles of Buddhism, culminating in years of immersion in Gelug/Kagyu approaches to Mahāmudrā and in the Nyingma Dzogchen tradition. She has also trained with teachers who research and practice at the intersection of neuroscience and Buddhism, and has done the Engaged Mindfulness Institute’s trauma-sensitive mindfulness training with the intention to practice with, and learn from, under-served and under-represented communities. She has done many month-long silent retreats with Doug Veenhof, a resident teacher at Lama Alan Wallace's Center for Contemplative Research in Crestone, CO, and practices closely with Nyingma Dzogchen Lama John Makransky of Sustainable Compassion Training. Rachel teaches online meditation programs, both Buddhist and secular, to international students, and mindfulness classes for a residential substance-use treatment center in East Vancouver. Her passion is in learning and teaching practices that support us in recognizing and resting in the space and warmth of our basic awareness, the unchanging depth that we most essentially are, with its felt qualities of innate openness, profound dignity, spontaneous presence, wisdom, and care.
Deepening Practice,
Building Community.
